a note from the parents:
We honestly feel so lucky to be surrounded by so much love as we step into this exciting new chapter. Thank you for celebrating our baby girl with us, it truly means the world to us to have such wonderful people in our lives and in hers already.
We’re especially excited that the baby shower will be held at our home. It feels really special to celebrate together somewhere that already means so much to us. Now we’re just keeping our fingers crossed and saying a few prayers for good weather so we can enjoy the day properly!
If you’ve had a look at the gift registry, thank you so much, we really appreciate the thought and generosity. Please know there is absolutely no expectation at all; your presence is more than enough. As a small side note though, if you are thinking of buying clothes, we’d kindly suggest avoiding newborn sizes, unless they’re hand-me-downs. We’ve been warned how quickly babies grow out of them!
Another little idea we thought would be really special:
In place of a gift or a card, we would absolutely love it if you brought along your favourite childhood book for baby girl. New or second-hand is perfect. If you’d like, you can write a small message inside from you, something she can read one day when she’s older. We think building her first little library with books from people we love would be the cutest gift of all.
To avoid any duplicates, we’ll include a spreadsheet link where you can pop in the book you’ve chosen.
Mostly though, we just want to say thank you. Your love, support and excitement as we start this journey into parenthood means more to us than we can say. We can’t wait to celebrate together 💛
